Crown Princess Mary arriving to Nuuk

From August 29-31st the Crown Princess was visiting Greenland as chairwoman of the Mary Foundation to see for herself how, among others, a Greenlandic day care center work with 'the Free of Bullying-program'. She was also attending a conference on domestic violence - a problematic issue in Greenland. The conference took place the following day. On her way to Greenland the royal family published a video of the Crown Princess. Here she talks about commitment to the conference and about her expectations prier to the visit. She arrived along with CEO of the Mary Foundation, Helle Østergaard.

At the arrival Mary wore a brand new coat. At first I was sure it was a gift on behalf of her visit. Then I learned that it is in fact a creation made by by Danish Jesper Høvring. It is from his collection 'Great Greenland' (collection: AW 2016). I have the information about her new coat made of sealskin at Royals & Fashion, here. This is how to keep warm and stay fashionable at the same time. Other than this incredible new coat, she was wearing a purple blouse (one I think we have seen before a couple of years ago) and a pair of black trousers. She styled this rather simple look with a brown Ralph Lauren bag, a long golden necklace and a pair of sunglasses. Her necklace could be from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. I don't see her shoes. My guess would be ankle boots or black pumps. A great travel outfit.

Crown Princess Mary visited day care center 'Sikkersoq'

In Nuuk around noon Crown Princess Mary was welcome by children dressed in traditional Greenlandic national costumes. They all caught her attention. Along with the Mary Foundation's mascot, a purple teddy bear, the Crown Princess seemed to enjoy her day as much as all the children. Despite their young age, the children loved hers and was center of attention from the second she arrived. The successful visit was followed by a meeting with Department of Family, Gender Equality, Social Affairs and Justice. A great way for her to get an impression of the situation before attending a conference on the topic the following day.

Shortly after arriving to Nuuk the Crown Princess quickly changed clothes. Now she was ready to begin her first day in Greenland. I have no idea how the weather is in Nuuk but I was surprised to see Mary wearing a short sleeved blouse when everybody else were covering themselves in warm coats. Guess it is because she only spend very little time outside. Dressed in a brand new shirt from Hugo Boss (thanks to Royals & Fashion for the info) and a black short sleeved turtleneck, her outfit has a 60s vibe that always looks incredible. Two piece of clothes you can style in so many different ways. Mary matched the looks with black SAND Copenhagen pumps, quite a few bracelets from among others Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry, such a pair of diamonds studs - probably from Hartmann's.  Think her new necklace could be a gift.
At all time my eyes are drawn to her hair. That length looks just great on her. Can't wait to see some more elegant hairstyles like the one at the 825th anniversary in Glostrup, here. Think this outfit would do perfectly with a leather jacket for a night out or maybe a pair of flats at work. So many ways to create new looks.

Crown Princess Mary attended a meeting with the Departement and dinner in Hans Egedes House, Nuuk

After visiting Sikkersoq in Nuuk it was time for the Crown Princess to attend a meeting with the Greenlandic Departement. The department is an important collaborator of the Mary Foundations when working with Greenland. At the arrival she was warmly welcomed by Minister of Family, Gender Equality, Social Affairs and Justice, Martha Lund Olsen and Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Church, Nivi Olsen. All three women were in a splendid mood. I am sure they had plenty of time to share experiences and knowledge that can be helpful to all of them. The meeting was followed by at visit at a local shelter, also in Nuuk, where the Crown Princess spoke with both residents and employees. Around seven o'clock it was time for a dinner which took place at Hans Egedes House.

Am I the only one who would have loved to see her outfit without the coat? Thought it's really stunning. That golden Ganni dress is just incredible and looks great on her. I got it in my own closet. In reality it looks even more magnificent. An amazing dress that can cause a stir at all times. Would love to have seen how she wore it this time. But there is no doubt in my mind that it is in fact that dress she is wearing. Wonderful. The coat you already know all about - it is from Jesper Høvring (collection: Great Greenland AW 2016). Her dark grey Naledi Copenhagen clutch is not the perfect match next to her golden dress, but it do great with the sealskin coat. Match made in heaven? Again I spotted a golden Cartier bracelet such as several pieces from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Is she wearing earrings too? - yes, but the pictures are blurred and I can't tell anything more. Oh, of course I almost forgot mentioning the dazzling black Gianvito Rossi pointed pumps. I wouldn't mind having my own pair of Rossi pumps.
